Time configuration can also be set externally by connecting a linear 10 kΩ potentiometer. Internal electrical isolation allows the device to be operated at 230 V/AC, enables a standard potentiometer to be used and allows the device to be activated by a low-voltage switch. External activation is achieved by connecting B1 and B2 via an external contact (reed contact, open collector transistor, sensor).
